As principal of WAM, Jack co-directs operational and financing strategies. He also is responsible for asset acquisition and disposition. Jack has over 24 years of diverse and in-depth real estate experience.
Jack is President of Winsor Development Corporation in Natick (Boston), MA. During his tenure there, Jack has formulated a successful strategy in the mature Massachusetts market by identifying, financing and capitalizing on highly profitable niche opportunities. His construction and development projects have ranged from entry-level condominiums to luxury subdivisions. He has overseen the acquisition and development of over $80 million worth of real estate primarily with the firm’s own capital. Jack has financed properties with conventional and institutional debt. Prior to establishing Winsor Development, he was a commercial broker with Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) in Boston. During his C&W tenure, Jack brokered numerous property transactions for technology, biotechnology and production companies.
Jack earned a Master of Real Estate Development degree from University of Southern California in 1993. He received an Economics bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in 1983. He also completed real estate coursework at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Jack is a registered MA real estate broker, holds a MA construction license, and is a member of the NAHB. He lives in Wellesley, MA with his wife and three children.
Jeffrey Thomas:
In addition to his role as a principal of Winsor Asset Management, Director of Operations and Acquisitions, Jeff Thomas principal of Winsor South, LLC which he established in Charleston, SC in 1997. Since that time he has led acquisition, development and construction of real estate projects with an aggregate value of over of over $50 million primarily with the firm’s own capital. Transactions have included the acquisition and financing of income-producing properties, apartment complex renovations and residential development and construction.
Prior to forming Winsor South, LLC, Jeff was Co-Principal of Winsor Development Corporation with his brother Jack Thomas. He started his career in 1986 at Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts where he worked as an office leasing and sales broker in downtown Boston. As a principal of WAM, Jeff will be responsible for acquistion, development, management and disposition of properties owned by the firm’s investment funds.
Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Middlebury College in 1985. In addition to his MA and SC real estate licenses, he holds a commercial contractor license. He is a member of the NAHB and has completed professional development course work in real estate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Jeff lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC with his wife and five children.
Paul Meeks, CFA:
Paul received bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science from Williams College in 1985. He earned his Master’s of Management degree from the Kellogg School in 1992. He became a chartered financial analyst in 1996. Prior to joining Winsor, Paul was an equity analyst or portfolio manager for 20 years. At Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, he started and built a $7 billion global assets technology mutual funds franchise. He works with Jeff Thomas in Winsor’s Charleston office. Paul assists in the valuation of real estate properties and debt as well as handles WAM’s investor relations. He is an adjunct finance professor at the College of Charleston. He also writes the financial column for the Charleston Mercury. He lives in Charleston with his wife and two children.
